Florida DOT approves J-J Hooks MASH-Tested Safety Barriers

Two J-J Hooks MASH TL3 precast concrete temporary barrier designs (free-standing & restrained) have been approved by the Florida Department of Transportation, a major milestone. This brings the current total to 17/32 states respectively approving its use, with additional approvals anticipated in the near future. J-J Hooks has played a leadership role in product innovation for safety in the highway construction industry since 1990.

FHWA issues Eligibility Letter for J-J Hooks MASH Free-Standing Design

Easi-Set Worldwide product announcement. On February 9, 2018, The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) issued Federal-Aid Eligibility Letter B300 for the J-J Hooks free-standing MASH TL3 highway safety barrier design. Previously FHWA had issued Letter of Eligibility B52B for the J-J Hooks MASH bolted to concrete barriers and B52C for the J-J Hooks MASH pinned to asphalt barriers.

Successful MASH Crash Test Marks Milestone for Easi-Set’s Legacy Product

Easi-Set’s NCHRP350 TL3 12-inch J-J Hook free-standing barrier has now been successfully tested as a MASH 16 TL3 12-inch J-J Hook, free-standing, F-shape, 20-foot barrier. FHWA has issued a Letter of Eligibility B-307.

Easi-Set Worldwide announces that FAM Construction, LLC (a Ferrovial Agroman US and Allan Myers partnership) has awarded Smith-Midland the contract to supply up to 245,000 LF of J-J Hooks precast concrete safety barrier for the I-66 Outside the Beltway Express Lanes project in Northern Virginia.
