Smith-Midland Contracts $4m Deal With Dulles Metro Rail

Midland, VA – May 21, 2015 – Smith-Midland Corporation (OTCQB: SMID) – In a deal contracted at $4M, Smith-Midland will manufacture and deliver all precast concrete aerial guide-way parapet panels and precast concrete manholes, and provide J-J Hooks™ concrete barriers for the Metro Silver Line phase II project. In total, 15,000 tons of concrete will be provided by Smith-Midland for the Metro Silver Line phase II project, through the end of 2016.

First installation of J-J Hooks MASH TL3 bolt-down safety barrier using Easi-Set/Hilti proprietary anchoring system.


On March 18th, 2013, Shea Concrete Products of Wilmington, MA completed delivery of the new J-J Hooks MASH TL3 bolt-down barriers with Hilti anchoring system to the Larz Anderson Memorial Bridge project in Cambridge. The bridge, listed on both State and National Historic Registers, was built during the late 1800’s and is a vital transportation link connecting the cities of Cambridge and Boston and is the primary connection between two Harvard University campuses.
