TIC Receives Extensive Training for J-J Hooks Barriers

Savannah, GA - TIC of Savannah, Georgia, recently received extensive in-plant production training for its latest product, the J-J Hooks highway traffic safety barrier. The training focused on the efficient set up, pouring, removing and yarding of the J-J Hooks barriers. It included in-plant, hands-on instruction related to ensuring Easi-Set’s quality standards from the welding of the J Hooks to the cleaning and care of the precision steel molds.

TIC is delighted to add J-J Hooks to its line of products. Carl Kleeman III, Vice President of the company’s Savannah operations, said, “We are proud to be a J-J Hooks manufacturer and know it is a product that will improve highway safety for both the motoring public and all the contractor’s personnel that have to work next to our busy roads and highways.”

TIC companies provide capabilities to effectively execute major industrial projects throughout a diversified market place while maintaining a competitive structure regionally across North America. Started in 1974 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, TIC is a direct-hire general industrial construction company with annual contract awards of over $2 billion. TIC serves a wide range of markets both in the United States and abroad, from heavy industrial (power, mining, industrial process and renewable energy) to environmental water and wastewater treatment, slipform erection, marine and general maintenance.

The J-J Hooks barrier connection system has been crash tested and passed the National Cooperative Highway Research Program 350 Level 3 standards. Self-aligning, identical-ended J Hook connectors allow for quick, easy installation of the barrier. There is no loose hardware, permitting a single section to be easily removed without disturbing adjacent sections and eliminating the possibility of lost, stolen or damaged parts. This is important for easy emergency access and protection against tampering and vandalism. J-J Hooks can be used as a temporary or permanent barrier system.
